Since June 3rd, 2019, the delegation of GICAT (Group of the French industries of the defense and the terrestrial and air-land safety) counts a new member, Gérard LACROIX, named delegate to the safety in replacement of Philippe GENDREAU.
Former administrator of the central administration and prefectural, Gérard Lacroix knows the decision process and the reality of the field. He was for six years, from 2007 to 2013, deputy director of public security at the police headquarters of Paris, in charge of major projects in terms of security and safety. He has also held various management positions in several departments: in the Loire, from 2014 to 2019, and previously in Eure-et-Loir, Seine-et-Marne, Cher and Finistère.
The new delegate general knows all about the machinery of European political and economic concerns. Trained at Saint-Cyr and a graduate of Ecole d’Etat-major et de l’Ecole Interarmées du Renseignement et des Etudes Linguistiques (English and Russian), he was a certified inspector of disarmament and security in Europe between 1990 and 1992 and national expert at the European Commission in charge of Slovakia's accession negotiations between 2000 and 2002, for the chapter "Justice and Home Affairs".
